Two new BitVM PRs were introduced to enhance efficiency: one optimizes MSM, reducing hash operations from 80 to 16, while the other improves the BLAKE3 hash, enabling larger message handling (up to 1024 bytes) with reduced stack usage.

The Fiamma team published an article addressing fungibility challenges in its BitVM2-based bridge, such as inflexible PEG-OUT amounts and asset locking. They propose solutions, including liquidity providers and a forced exit module, while outlining plans for future updates.

This article primarily addresses the issue of fungibility within the Bridge, building on our previous analyses. Users encounter several challenges during the PEG-OUT process:
Amount Inflexibility Issue: When the amount users wish to PEG-OUT is not in the Operator-maintained PEG-IN amount list, they cannot directly proceed with the exit.
Asset Locking Issue: If some operators go offline, leading to some assets not being able to be withdrawn without permission, two methods can be utilized:

To accelerate its implementation of BitVM2, BOB teamed up with Fiamma, the pioneer behind the first products utilizing BitVM2, including the first BitVM bridge (Fiamma Bridge) and the first BitVM-powered verification layer on Bitcoin (Fiamma Layer).
This partnership was instrumental in the success of BOB’s BitVM bridge prototype. Together, BOB and Fiamma deployed key bridge infrastructure and trialled an early version of the prover software to verify BOB’s consensus.
