Week 42

Hello everyone, and good Friday! New, interesting articles keep on being published and we aim to bring every update in the Disputable Computation realm,keeping you fully updated.Don't forget to suscribe and recommend us! Happy reading 🙂

PD: We're getting ready for Tabconf6 next weel (Oct 23-26), where we'll be presenting 2 exciting BitVMX oriented talks. We hope to see you there!
Find out more about the event here: https://6.tabconf.com

01

A new article by Kevin Wahle from Fairgate Labs introduces the BitVMX off-chain communication system, highlighting its key components and the secure communication strategies followed in its design.

🔗 BitVMX Off-chain Communication System: Key Components and Secure Strategies
BitVMX aims to build a flexible framework for blockchain bridges, oracles, and proof verifiers. A crucial component of BitVMX is its off-chain communication system. This system provides an authenticated method for secure communication between the Prover and the Challenger throughout the entire protocol, including setup and key sharing.

02

Liam Eagen from Alpen Labs presents how BitVM enables SNARK verification on Bitcoin, addressing its technical constraints. He explains how BitVM's optimistic protocol, can divide computations into smaller chunks, allowing off-chain processing and on-chain verification.

ZK12: ZK on Bitcoin - Liam Eagen

@Zero Knowledge
ZK and Bitcoin have developed mostly in isolation since it is not feasible to verify a SNARK on Bitcoin directly. This has changed dramatically with the BitVM protocols and potential activation of OP_CAT. In this talk, we will discuss these developments and the challenges in bringing them from theory to practice.

03

BitLayer's tutorial on how to integrate the BitLayer chain with Telegram Mini Apps, helping developers tap into Telegram's user base. The guide simplifies building lightweight apps that run within Telegram, expanding developer reach.

🔗 Bitlayer Releases Telegram Mini Apps Integration Tutorial, Empowering Developers to Reach 900 Million Telegram Users
This convenient integration allows developers to easily reach a broad user base, effectively lowering the barrier to Web3 adoption and enabling 900 million Telegram users to seamlessly experience the Bitlayer and Bitcoin Layer 2 ecosystem.

04

BitVM achieved a series of optimizations to the Groth16 verifier script:Multiscalar Multiplication (MSM) Optimization: By optimizing MSM in affine coordinates, they reduced the size of the Groth16 verifier script, leading to faster verification times and lower resource consumption.Fq2 Multiplication Optimization: They further reduced the verifier size by implementing a more efficient multiplication method, enhancing performance and efficiency.
